Bowman Engineering & Consulting (BEC) provided DART management with procurement support for the Trinity Rail Express commuter rail service in developing the solicitation package for the Operation & Maintenance (O&M) of the TRE and Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA). The 10-year base term, with possible 10-year extension of the procurement provides for the O&M of the TRE and DCTA for the next 10 to 20 years with the option now executed to add TEX Rail to the service.  The value of the O&M contract was in excess of $600 million during the base term.  BEC also supports TRE with review of other agency RFP/contract, confirmed operational metrics, and provided a draft RFP for Industry Review. The Trinity Railway Express (TRE) commuter train connects the downtown areas of Dallas and Fort Worth, with stops in the Mid-Cities and DFW Airport.
